Inventory Scarcity Update
The amateur telescope industry has been experiencing record demand with the pandemic driving unanticipated interest. As a result, we are experiencing substantial inventory shortages and backlogs to get additional product. Our website inventory is extremely accurate, and updates immediately when an order is placed. We are receiving limited new product inventory regularly, and the website is updated as soon as it is received. At this time, we cannot reserve or hold items without a purchase, and we are not accepting pre-orders due to the unpredictability of when products will become available. We encourage you to make use of the Notify When Available button presented on the pages of sold out products. This will automatically send you a notification when an item you are interested in is back in stock.
Curbside Pickup Available
We are filling online orders and providing phone, email, and facebook support Monday - Friday 11:AM - 6:PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
You may place your order online for curbside pickup outside our Lakewood store. To place an order for pickup, select the Pick up tab on the Shipping page. Please note that Pick up is not available if paying by Express Checkout options like PayPal and ApplePay. Pickup will be available Monday - Friday 11:AM - 6:PM.
When picking up your order, for your safety and ours, you must wear a mask, and observe 6 feet social distancing at all times.
No In-Store Shopping While We Expand!
We are in the process of doubling our warehouse and showroom size. Please be patient with us while we build out the larger showroom, which we hope to have ready to open sometime in August!
General Terms and Conditions
We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. If you have any problems with a product purchased from us, please get in touch – you can reply directly to your order confirmation email.
We ship orders Monday through Friday. In-stock items ordered before 11:AM Mountain Time will generally ship same-day. In-stock items ordered after that cut-off will ship on the next business day. Please note that there may be delays due to missed pickups from carriers or other service issues. We cannot make any guarantee on specific delivery dates, as all carriers have also suspended their service guarantees.
Sorry, but due to our dealer agreements, we only ship to U.S. addresses. We will not ship to mail forwarders.
If you are not satisfied with an item purchased, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund*, less actual shipping costs both ways. Please contact us for return shipping information. Buyer is responsible for return shipping and insurance. *This policy does not apply to telescopes, mounts, cameras, Binoculars, and special orders. See below.
Defective or damaged items may be exchanged for the same item within 30 days. If you need to exchange a damaged or defective item, simply reply to your email order receipt. Please include a description of the issue and if possible a photograph showing the problem.
Telescopes, Mounts, Cameras, Binoculars
If you have a problem with a telescope, mount, binoculars, or camera purchased from us, please contact us for assistance – we are always happy to help! If the product is defective, we will repair or replace it within 30 days of purchase. Beyond 30 days, you should contact the manufacturer directly for the quickest possible resolution.
Unopened telescopes or mounts may be returned in original condition for a refund within 30 days of purchase.
Opened telescopes, mounts, cameras, or binoculars may be returned within 30 days of purchase, but are subject to a restocking fee of at least 15%.
Unfortunately, we have had issues with customers purchasing and returning telescopes they just want to use for a week or two, so we have had to institute this restocking fee policy.
Exchanges for items of a lower value will receive a store credit for the difference.
Special Orders, Clearance, Drop Shipped, Used Products
Special Order items, Clearance, or items that are labeled as Drop Ship are not returnable and may not be exchanged. A special order is any order placed for a product we do not normally stock. This includes many high end telescopes, mounts, and any custom items. If the item is in any way damaged or defective, we will work with the manufacturer to repair or replace the item.
Used items are not returnable and may not be exchanged.

Mile High Astronomy makes no representation as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability, validity, or timeliness of product listings, descriptions, images, or prices. Such information and the availability of any product are subject to change at any time without notice. Mile High Astronomy makes a best faith effort to ensure accuracy, but shall in no instance be obligated to honor claims based on inaccurate information, features, images, or pricing.
We try our best to provide accurate information and pricing, but mistakes will occasionally occur (we're only human!). We do appreciate it when customers let us know of any such errors.
Meteorites and Jewelry
We stand behind the quality and authenticity of every meteorite and item of jewelry we sell.
If you are for any reason not satisfied with a meteorite or piece of meteorite jewelry, you may return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
We make every effort to verify the authenticity of the products we offer. If for any reason the authenticity of a meteorite we sell comes into doubt, we will contact past buyers of the item in question, explain the situation, and offer to refund the full purchase price if they wish to return the item.
